We are glad to hear you are interested in volunteering with one or more of the programs provided to county residents. As you may know, the Child Abuse Prevention Council collaborates with many schools, faith-based groups, human service agencies and law enforcement professionals to ensure that children are safe from abuse and neglect. We are also responsible for direct services to children and families through the Child Advocacy Center, Prevention Education and Baby Pantry Programs.
To be able to match you better with our volunteer opportunities, please visit our office to pick up a volunteer packet. In addition, to ensure the safety of the children and teens that we serve, we ask that each volunteer agree to authorize the Council to conduct a Criminal Background Check and Michigan Central Registry Clearance. To protect the children and families that we serve, volunteer service is contingent upon all documents and clearances being received and reviewed.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions about the volunteer application process. Thank you, again, for your interest in volunteering and your support of children and teens in our county!
